NELLIKKAI / AMLA MILLETS DOSA

A healthy  amla millets dosa for the breakfast, makes your day  energetic and healthy.
Bajra / kambu promotes heart health, good source of energy,helps in digestion, prevents cancer.
Foxtail millet is high in carbohydrates.It is rich in dietry fiber and minerals such as copper & iron.It helps us to keep our body strong & immune.It helps to control blood sugar & cholesteral levels.
Amla / gooseberries / nellikkai , is nutrient rich fruit.. It’s a potent source of Vitamin C and also contains iron and calcium. This has lot of health benefits. It slows Down Ageing Cures A Sore Throat Reduces Blood Sugar  High In Digestive Fiber Boosts Immunity Prevents Formation Of Gall Bladder Stones Prevents Ulcers Purifies Blood  Strengthens Bones.


    INGREDIENTS

  Pearl Millet (Kambu, Bajra)     - 1 ½ cups
   Fox tail millet (thinai)                - 1 ½ cups
   Rice (Raw rice or Parboiled)     - 1/2 cup
   Urad dal                                        - 1/4 cup
   Fenugreek seeds                         – 1 tsp
   Coriander leaves                          - a handful
   Curry leaves                                 -  a handful
   Green chillies                                - 8 nos
   Small onions                                 - 5 nos(optional)
   Salted gooseberries in brine     - 10 to 12 nos(deseeded)
   Salt                                                 - to taste





METHOD


 Wash and soak the pearl millet / kambu, foxtail millet / thinai, rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds and soak it together in enough water for at least 2 hours.
Grind it to a smooth and fluffy batter adding the coriander leaves, curry leaves, salted        gooseberries, onions, green chillies, required salt and water.
Heat a dosa tawa, pour a ladle full of batter in the centre  of the tawa and spread it into a thin dosa.
Drizzle a tsp of oil around the edges of dosa.
When the edges are cooked, flip it and cook the other side too.
Healthy amla millets dosa is ready to serve.
Serve hot with any accompaniments.
