Another special sweet dessert from our fruit queen. Sheera/ kesari , we used to prepare in many ways. I tried with this seasonal beauty Jack fruit. Of course Jack fruit Vermicelli Sheera / kesari.
This kesari tastes heavenly with the aroma of jackfruit and ghee. Try this Jackfruit Vermicelli kesari . You can prepare this kesari with Rava also following the same method.


Vermicelli                   - 1 cup
Ghee                              - ¼ cup
Jackfruit                     - 1 cup chopped
Sugar                            - 1 1/2 cup
Boiling water             - 1 1/2cups
Milk                              - 1 ½ cups
Cashew nuts              - 10 halved


Heat 2 to 3 tbsps of ghee and fry the vermicelli till golden in colour.
In the mean time keep the hot water  and milk ready and add to the vermicelli.
Allow to cook for a five minutes in medium flame and add half of the ghee.
Add the sugar, remaining ghee and the jackfruit pieces and cook till everything blends well.
In another pan heat a little ghee and fry the cashew nuts and add to the Kesari.
Jack fruit vermicelli Sheera is ready to serve.
