MOONG DAL MASALA PURI

Moong dal puri is a spicy, yummy, crispy and delicious puri.This is a wholesome meal for your family.Try this healthy and tasty puri either for your breakfast and lunch.

INGREDIENTS

Moong dal                               - 1 cup (soak for 3 hours)
Whole wheat flour               - 3 1/2 cups
Turmeric powder                 - 1/2 tsp
Ginger grated                          - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder         - 1 tsp
sugar                                            - 1 tsp
lime juice                                  - 2 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder         - 1 tsp
Salt                                                - to taste
Ajwain                                          -1 tsp
Oil                                                 - for deep frying
Water                                          - if needed.




METHOD
Grind the soaked moong dal into a fine paste without using  water.
In a large bowl, add all the ingredients and Knead the dough by adding very little water,
 Cover the dough with damp towel and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
 

Cover the dough with damp towel and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
After resting the dough, divide the dough into small equal sized balls.
Heat enough oil in a deep pan.
Take one ball, grease it little and roll it out into a puri.Once the oil is hot deep fry the puris in a medium flame.(with the back of the ladle slightly press it, it will puff up)
Fry until golden and crisp from both the sides.
Spicy yummy masala puris are ready to serve
Serve hot with malai paneer.
