THATTIL KUTTI DOSA


Soft traditional delicious thattil kutty dosa!!
Enjoy eating it..!

INGREDIENTS :

1. For Dosa:

·         kaikuthal arishi    - 2 cups
·         Urad dal              - ½ cups
·         Aval                     - 3 tbsp


·         Salt                      - as required
·         Green chillies      -2 chopped
·         Ginger                  - 1 piece(peeled and chopped)


    2. For Onion Garlic Chutney:

  • Peeled small onions - 1 cup
  • garlic - 6 flakes
  • red chillies -8
  • bengal gram dhal -2 tsps
  • coriander leaves :a handful
  • tamarind - littile

METHOD:

  • For dosa:


·         Wash and soak kaikuthu arishi, urad dal and aval together for 3 hrs.
·         Wash again and grind everything to a fine paste adding just enough water.
·         Keep for 6-8 hrs before making the dosa.
·         Add finely chopped green chillies and ginger pieces.
·         Grease a tawa with oil and heat.
·         Pour one small ladle of the batter and do not spread.
·         Just touch with the ladle to make it slightly bigger.
·         Pour two teaspoons of oil on all sides, reduce the heat slightly.
·         Turn it upside down gently using a spatula.
·         Pour 1 tspn oil on all sides and cook till crisp and done.
·         Remove and serve with kadalai or chutney.

  • For Onion Garlic Chutney:
  • Heat oil,fry chillies,dhal,garlic and the onions,except coriander leaves,till golden brown.
  • Grind with tamarind,coriander leaves and salt.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves, in oil & pour on top.
