INGREDIENTS
- Whole green gram with skin - 1 cup ( heaped )
- Onion - 1 ( medium sized )
- Ginger - ¼ inch piece
- Green chillies - 5 nos .
- Salt - to taste
- Raw rice - 2 tbsps ( heaped )
- Finely cut onions -3/4 cup
- Finely cut green chillies - 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
- Oil - 1 tbsp
METHOD
- Soak green gram & rice together for atleast 8 to 10 hours in enough water .
- Grind with onion ginger & green chillies .
- Add salt at the end of grinding .
- Heat oil & fry cumin seeds , green chillies with diced onion for 2 minutes . ( for topping .)
- Keep separately .
- Heat a dosa pan , pour dosa batter by spreading from centre .
- Add a tsp of oil around .
- Sprinkle little onion mixture on top & press with the flat ladle .
- Fry in medium flame till dosa becomes crisp .
- Serve hot with any type of chutney .
