ANDHRA PESARATTU




INGREDIENTS

  • Whole green gram  with skin                 - 1 cup ( heaped )
  • Onion                                                     - 1 ( medium sized )
  • Ginger                                                    - ¼ inch piece
  • Green chillies                                         - 5 nos .
  • Salt                                                          - to taste
  • Raw rice                                                  - 2 tbsps ( heaped )
FOR TOPPING
  • Finely cut onions                                    -3/4 cup
  • Finely cut green chillies                         - 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds                                           - ½ tsp
  • Oil                                                           - 1 tbsp



METHOD

  • Soak green gram & rice together for atleast 8 to 10 hours in enough water .
  • Grind  with onion ginger & green chillies .
  • Add salt at the end of grinding .
  • Heat oil & fry cumin seeds , green chillies with diced onion for 2 minutes . ( for topping .)
  • Keep separately .
  • Heat a dosa pan , pour dosa batter by spreading from centre .
  • Add a tsp of oil around .
  • Sprinkle little onion mixture on top & press with the flat ladle .
  • Fry in medium flame till dosa becomes crisp .
  • Serve hot with any type of chutney .
