KABULI CHANNA VADAI

Kabuli channa belong to the family of legumes .This is an effective aid for weight loss due to their high fibre content and it stabilizes blood sugar levels .It provides anemia and control blood presure levels .For women it regulates hormonal levels , it lowers the risk of breast cancer .it also protect against the osteoporosis by maintaining blood level of the oestrogen hormone .
usually for navaratri we make channa sundal for naivedyam . For a change i have preapared vadas out of kabuli channa .



INGREDIENTS
Kabuli channa         - 1/2 kg
mint leaves               - a handful
coriander leaves      - a handful
curry leaves              - a handful
cumin seeds             - 2 tsps
green chillies            - 5 nos
red chilli powder       - 1tsp
coriander powder     - 1 tbsp
salt                              - to taste
oil                                - for deep frying

METHOD
Soak kabuli channa ovenight .
Grind the channa with cumin seeds, coriander leaves, mint leaves, and curry leaves .
Add chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well .
The ground paste should be thick .
Heat oil in a frying pan , make lemon size balls from the ground paste and press it to round shape and put them in hot oil and fry till it becomes golden brown colour .
kabuli channa vadas are ready to serve .
