Gobi Manchurian, is always in great demand by everyone from kids to adults. So for a
change I have tried Manchurian with jack fruit. The taste of fried
jackfruit along with the sauces is a
great feast to your taste buds. The manchurian made out of tender jackfruit is healthy and there was no need for people always to go after gobi manchurian or Baby Corn Manchurian. Try out this and enjoy.
INGREDIENTS
Tender Jack Fruit pieces - 250 grams
Corn flour - 5 tbsps
Rice flour - 3 tbsps
Maida -
3 tbsps
White Pepper powder -
1 tsp
Red chilli powder -1 tbsp
Soya sauce -
3 tbsp
Chilli sauce - 2 tbsps
Tomato sauce -4 tbsp
Vinegar -1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Chopped onion -
¼ cup
Chopped spring onion -
¼ cup
Ginger garlic
paste -2 tbsps
Oil -
for deep fry
METHOD
Select tender
jackfruit ,Clean and remove the seeds from the jack fruit bulbs.
Mix maida, cornflour, rice flour, 1 Tbsp soya
sauce, red chilli powder, 1 tbsp of
ginger garlic paste,salt in a bowl,prepare a thick batter
Heat oil in a pan and dip the Jack fruit pieces
in the batter and deep fry till golden brown and keep aside.
Heat one tbsp of oil in a pan, add ginger garlic paste, onion, fry well then add soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato
sauce and vinegar and add pinch of salt
and the fried jack fruit pieces to it mix well.
Mix 1tbsp of
cornflour in water and add to the above mixture and mix gently, saute for few minutes and finally add
spring onions.
Yummy saucy, spicy
jack fruit Manchurian is ready to serve.
Serve hot with
fried rice, rotis nans or can be served as starters too.
