STRAWBERRY LASSI

Another variety lassi from the red beauty strawberries. Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamins C and K as well as providing a good dose of fibre, folic acid, manganese and potassium. They also contain significant amounts of phytonutrients and flavanoids which makes strawberries bright red. They have been used for digestive ailments, teeth whitening and skin irritations. Their fibre and fructose content may help regulate blood sugar levels by slowing digestion and the fibre is thought to have a satiating effect.
Try this lassi  and refresh yourself for this summer.


INGREDIENTS

Strawberry puree    - 1 cup
Fresh Chilled curd/yogurt – 1 ½ cups
Freshccream                                   - 3 tbsps
Honey                                              - 4 tbsps         
Sliced strawberries for garnishing            - one or two.










METHOD

Wash.and roughly chop the strawberries.
Blend the strawberries with  honey to a smooth puree.
Add yogurt, cream, and blend till you get a smooth, creamy lassi.
Garnished with sliced strawberries .
Refreshing strawberry lassi is ready to drink.
