This is a wholesome and healthy soup prepared with six types of dal and with nutrition loaded spinach .Today in the fast world no one have time for detailed cooking, but they need healthy & wholesome food, so I prepared this one which also can be taken with rice if you adjust the consistency , and also it is very easy to prepare.
Moong Dal Moong dal is a dieter friendly
dal. This type of dal has minimal calorie and is a rich source of iron and
potassium.
Chana dal or Bengal gram dal is one of
the richest vegan source of dietary proteins. It is also rich in trace minerals
like copper, manganese etc. Having this dal helps keep diabetes at bay.
Masoor Dal Masoor dal is very good for
people suffering from bile reflux, and it also improves the blood circulation
in the body.
Kabooli dal is a special variety of pulses that helps to increase haemoglobin levels as it is rich in iron and folic acid.

INGREDIENTS
Moong
dal, masoor dal, channa dal, black urad dal,/ kabooli dal,tuvar dal – ¼
cup(all dal of ¼ cup)
Turmeric
powder -
¼ tsp
Garlic -
1 clove(optional)
Small
onion -
1 no(optional)
Ginger -
¼ inch piece.
Palak
leaves washed and finely chopped -approx of
¼ cup
Lime
juice -
½ tsp
Green
chilli -
2 nos crushed
Salt -
to taste.
Butter -
a small cube (optional)
METHOD
Wash the
dals and pressure cook by adding garlic, small onions, ginger, turmeric powder
adding enough water to cover dal.
Wash
the palak leaves and in a pan sauté the leaves for two minutes adding a pinch
of cumin seeds.
Take
out the cooked dal and allow it to cool and whip it in the mixie & add the
sauted palak and give just a whip with
the dal.
Heat a
pan and add the blended dal, required salt, crushed chilli and palak and boil
it for 3 to 5 minutes. (if the consistency is very thick add some boiled water
to get the soup consistency).
Remove
from flame and add lime juice and
garnish it with pepper powder and butter.
Hot
protein rich, iron rich, mineral rich,yummy two in one Mixed Dal Spinach soup is ready to
serve.
Serve it as soup or serve with white rice.
