CHAKKAPAZHAM PORI / JACK FRUIT FRITTERS



Bored of eating the traditional Pazam pori, then try this chakka pazham pori / jack fruit fritters. The traditional pazham pori is prepared with etha pazam, But I have tried with Chakka pazam / jack fruit for this fritters. Use firm Jack fruit bulbs for this snack. Try out this delicious appetizer snack for your tea time.






INGREDIENTS 
Jackfruit                   -6 to 10 pods  ( slit lengthwise ) ( pods should be firm .)
All purpose flour      -1 cup
Cornflour                 -2  tbsp
Sugar                      -  1 tsp
Turmeric powder      - a pinch
Water                        -3 / 4 cup
Salt                            -  a pinch
Oil                              - to deep  fry



METHOD
Clean  &  remove  the  seed  from  the  jackfruit & slit  it lengthwise .
In a bowl take all purpose flour , corn flour ,turmeric powder ,salt & sugar .
Blend it nicely by adding 3 / 4 cup of water  to make the batter .
Meanwhile heat the oil in a deep bottomed pan .
Dip the jackfruit pieces one by one in the batter & deep  fry by turning both sides
till golden brown .
Drain the excess oil by using paper towel .
Take the snack with hot tea!!
