ROASTED DALS MILLET DOSA


Have a healthy millet breakfast with small millet (sama) and kodo millet (varagu), roasted dals and groundnuts. Thisbreakfast makes your day energetic & filling.







INGREDIENTS

Urad dal                                                        -  ½ cup
Bengal gram dal                                              - ½ cup
Roasted groundnuts                                        - ¼ cup                                                 
Rasted white til                                               - ¼ cup
Red chillies                                                    - 10 nos
Asafetida                                                       - 1 small piece
Varagu rice / kodo millet                                 - 1 cup
Sama rice / small millet                                  - 1 cup
Hand pounded rice                                         - 1 cup
Rock salt                                                      - to taste
Gingelly oil                                                   - for preparing dosas







METHOD

Roast urad dal  and Bengal gram dal without oil to a deep golden brown colour.
Fry asafetida piece in  a tsp of oil and fry red chillies along with it.
Add roasted groundnuts, roasted white til with roasted urad dal and keep aside.
Soak sama rice, varagu rice hand pounded rice together with the roasted dal for 2 to 3 hours.
Grind to a smooth batter adding required salt.
Heat a dosa tawa and pour a ladle full of batter in a greased tawa and drizzle a tsp of gingelly oil .
Flip on to the other side when it is cooked. Cook for two minutes .
Roasted dals millet dosa is ready to serve.
Serve hot with any of your desired accompaniments.
