Easy home made caramalised banana dessert recipe made with bananas fried in caramalised brown sugar glaze.
INGREDIENTS
Peeled ripe Bananas - 8 nos
Brown sugar ¾
cup
Oil or butter -
for frying
METHOD
Heat the oil over medium heat in a pan.
.After 2 minutes add the brown sugar, keep
heating over medium heat until the sugar melts and starts to caramelise.(till
it turns to nice brown colour.)
Cook in simmer flame. Add the bananas
carefully to the oil caramel mixture.
Turn the heat down so the sugar does not burn
and carefully add the bananas.
Fry the bananas for 6 to 8 minutes, carefully
without breakingit by moving them around
from time to time so they are nicely coated in the sugar.
Remove the bananas from the oil, allow it to cool
for some time. .
NOTES
You can use any type of ripe
bananas, I have used nendram pazham here. If you are using nendram pazham 3
long size bananas are enough.
If you are using small
variety bananas no need to cut it you can use the whole bananas.
When you remove the banana
from the oil it will be sticky with the sugar coating, so do not place it onto
paper towel it will stick.
