Usually to
prepare dosas rice dhal has to be soaked, ground and fermented. But this
plantain stem/ vaazhai thandu makka cholam/jowar dosas can be prepared
instantly. No fermentation is needed to prepare this dosa. A healthy way to
start your day with this yummy vaazhai thandu/plantain stem jowar/ makka cholam
dosa.
INGREDIENTS
Finely chopped
plantain stem/vaazhai thandu - 1 cup
Jowar flour/
makka cholam flour - 1 cup
Rice flour -
½ cup
Small onions -
10 nos
Green chillies -
4 nos
Cumin seeds -
1 tsp
METHOD
Mix rice flour,
jowar flour/makka cholam flour with 1 cup of water in a blender needed salt and
cumin seeds.
Add the chopped
plantain stem, small onions and green chillies and blend to a smooth paste and
mix with the batter.
It should be of
slightly thinner than dosa consisitency.
Heat a dosa tawa
and pour a ladle full of batter on the centre of the tawa and spread thinly.
Drizzle a tsp of
oil and cook for 2 minutes.
Turn over the
dosas and cook the other side.
Remove from tawa
.
Prepare dosas
with remaining batter .
Healthy instant
plantain stem/vaazhai thandu makka cholam/jowar dosas are ready to serve.
Serve hot with
date chutney.
