Baked Dhokla

                   
                        


Ingredients:
  • Besan    - 2&1/2 cups
  • Ginger paste  -1/2 tsp
  • Green chille paste-1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves chopped - 1 tsp
  • tumeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • butter milk - 1 cup or more
  • sugar - 1/2tbsp
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Eno fruit salt -1 tsp
  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • salt to taste

For Seasoning

  • oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Hing - 1/4 tsp

For Garnishing

  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped)- 2 tbsp
  • freshly grated coconut - 1/4 cup

For Sugar syrup:

  • Boil 1/4 cup of water with 2 tbsp of sugar.

Method:

  1. Pre-heat the oven for 10-15 min at 200 c.
  2. Mix besan ,salt ,baking powder ,turmeric powder and sugar.
  3. Add butter milk ,green chille paste and ginger paste and mix to a smooth paste.
  4. Lastly add eno fruit salt.
  5. Pour batter in the muffin cups and bake for 20-25 min. 
  6. Allow it cool for some time.
  7. Pour some sugar syrup over the dhoklas.
  8. Heat oil and add seasonings and pour over the Dhoklas.
  9. Garnish it with grated coconuts and chopped coriander leaves.
  10. Baked Dhoklas Muffins are ready to serve.
