Ingredients
Rajma - 250 gm
Sodabicarbonate -
1 pinch
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Big tomatoes - 4nos
Tomato puree - 1 cup
Onions - 3 nos
Ginger - 1 inch piece finely chopped
Red chilly powder - 1 ½ tsp
Powdered cumin seed - 1
tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Aamchoor powder - 2 tsp
Green chillies - 4 nos finely chopped
Ginger, garlic paste - 2 tsp
Salt - as required
Oil - 1 tsp
Cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
METHOD

Wash and soak rajma for 8 hrs overnight with
little soda.

Wash again and pressure cook for 10-15 min.
·
In a frying pan heat oil and add cumin seeds.

Add finely chopped onion, ginger, green chillies
and fry till onions are soft and transparent
·
Add finely chopped tomatoes and fry till oil
leaves the sides
·
Add garlic
ginger paste, aamchoor powder, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam
masla powder, jeera powder and tomato puree.

Add salt to taste. Add the cooked rajma let it
simmer till the gravy is thickened.
·
Garnish with coriander leaves and remove from the
heat.
·
Serve hot with parathas, pulao etc.
