JACKFRUIT PAKORAS


Another summer special Jackfruit snack which you can prepare only in summer. I am talking about Jackfruit Pakoras and that too ripen one. It tastes yum, out of the world. The outer portion of Jackfruit Pakoras are crispy and inner one is  soft and sweet. It cannot be described in words.know it by yourself.






 INGREDIENTS

   Thinly sliced onions,                                                    - 1 cup(layers separated)
   Ripened jack fruit thinly sliced                                - 1 to 2 cups
 Besan / chick pea flour                                               -  1  ¼ cups
 Rice flour                                                                          - 2 tbsps
 Salt                                                                                       - to taste
 Ginger garlic paste                                                        - 1 tsp (optiional)
 Cumin seeds powder/ jeearagam powder          - ½ tsp
 Green chilies chopped                                                 - 3 nos
 Chilli powder                                                                   - 1 tsp
 Curry leaves chopped                                                  - 1 sprig
 Oil                                                                                         -for deep frying






METHOD

Mix thinly sliced onions, jack fruits, green chillies,curry leaves, cumin seeds powder, chilli powder and ginger garlic paste.
Sprinkle salt and mix well.
Keep aside for 5 to 10 minutes.add flour in smaller quantities and incorporate well to coat the onions and jack fruit pieces with the flour.
Add 2 to 3 tbsps of water and mix the flour to make a dough.
The dough must be tight and not soggy.
Heat oil in a kadai and take a ball sized amount of dough in your hand and drop gooseberry size dough gently in to the hot oil.
Stir occasionally for even frying.
Fry the pakoras till golden colour and remove from oil and drain it in a colander.
Yummy spicy jackfruit pakoras ready to serve.
Serve hot with a hot cup of coffee.

.VARIATIONS
You can also use raw jackfruit for this pakoras.
