Pulusu is a stew that is made often in
Andhra homes. This pulusu can be prepared instantly if you keep this Kara
pulusu powder handy.
INGREDIENTS
Coriander seeds - 250 gms
Red chllies - 250 gms
Channa dal - 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds - 100 gms
Pepper corns - 50 gms
Methi seed /
fenugreek - 50 gms
Turmeric powder -
2 tsps
Asafetida - ¼ tsp
Oil - 1 tsp(optional)
METHOD
Heat a pan and
dry roast all the above ingredients separately, in a medium to low flame and
allow it to cool completely.
Powder all the
above cooled ingredients to a fine powder adding turmeric powder and asafetida.
Store it in a
airtight container.
Spice level can
be decreased or increased according to your taste.
This powder can
be instantly used while you make pulusu,
can also be added while you make other dry curries.
