French fries!!! am sure no one would leave a fast food stop,
without munching on these beautiful elongated crispies. French fries are one of
everyone's favorites and these are so addictive. These French fries are usually prepared with
our everyone’s favourite, potatoes. I tried this with kada chakka / bread
fruit, Yeah, kada chakka fingers,haha…. Sounds weird no!?. Try out this friends
for sure you all love this. A great change over from our Potatoes finger fries.
INGREDIENTS
Kada chakka / bread fruit - 200 grams
Salt - to taste
Turmeric powder -
¼ tsp
Chilli powder - 1 ½ tbsps
Maida -
a handful
Oil -
For deep frying
METHOD
Peel and cut the kada chakka.
Chop into finger sized
pieces with the same thickness.
Now add
chilli powder and salt mix well and marinate it for 20 minutes.mix well.
Sprinkle maida all over
the marinated kada chakka and toss well.
Now heat a pan on flame and pour enough oil to deep fry
the kada chakka.
The oil should not be
cool nor smoking hot, gently slide in kada chakka fingers and fry them on a low
flame, until it turns golden colour.
Then remove from oil with
a slotted spoon and place it in a colander to drain.
Do the same with the rest
of the batches.
Garnish it with fried
curry leaves and red chillies.
Serve hot with tomato
sauce.
