Another unique delicacy from koorka / Chinese
potato prepared as a tea time snack .I have added home made paneer with koorka
/ Chinese potatoes and ussal missal powder instead of garam masala. And makka
cholamflour / jowar flour is added instead of gram flour for pakora dough.
Ussal missal is a maharashtrian masala which
is used to have with pav. Misal masala is mixture of spices like coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, pepper, cinnamon, garlic dry coconut.
INGREDIENTS
Boiled koorka / Chinese potatoes - 1 cup
Scrambled home made paneer - 1 cup
Makka cholam flour / jowaar flour - ¼ cup
Rice flour -
½ cup
Ussal missal powder - 4 tsps
Salt -
to taste
Chilli powder -
1 tsp
Onion -
1 no finely chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Cooking oil -
for deep frying
METHOD
In a bowl mash the boiled koorkas / Chinese potatoes without any lumps.
Add scrambled paneer to the mashed koorkas / Chinese
potatoes and mix well.
Add ginger garlic paste, rice flour, jowar
flour / makka cholam flour, ussal missal powder, chilli powder and salt and mix
well.
Add a ladle full of hot oil the pakora dough
and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan, take a big ball of
dough in your hand and drop gooseberry size dough into the hot oil.
(no need to make in perfect shape)
Fry the pakoras in medium flame, turning
all over.
When it becomes golden colour remove from
oil and and keep over the colander to drain the excess oil.
Unique crispy ussal missal paneer koorka
/ Chinese potato pakoras are ready to serve.
