Thinai is high in nutrition. It is also
known as Foxtail Millet in english, Kangni in Hindi, I have prepared dosas with this healthy thinai / foxtail millet. This dosa is
really healthy and tasty too, because
fresh green coriander leaves are added.
INGREDIENTS
Thinai /
foxtail millet - 1
cup
Raw rice - ½ cup
Methi seeds - 1 tsp
Coriader
leaves - 1 small
bunch
Green chillies - 8 nos
Small onions - 6 nos
Garlic -
4 cloves(optional)
Salt -
to taste
METHOD
Soak
thinai/foxtail mlillet, rice, methi seeds together I enough water for 4 TO 6 hours.
Grind to a
smooth paste adding chopped coriander leaves, green chillies, small onions,
garlic and required salt.
Ferment it
for 3 hours before preparing dosas.
Heat a tawa pour
a ladle full of batter and spread it in circular motion from inside.
Drizzle some
oil over the dosa,.
Flip on to other
side and cook for few seconds.
Remove dosa
from the pan and serve hot with Idli chilli powder.
