Rajma roti
is a unique roti prepared with boiled
rajma. It is healthy too and needs no side dish as it tastes good even as such
may be just raita. Even my hubby who is not a fan of rajma, loved this roti.
Kids love this rotis , since this is healthy, moms will be happy.You can also
add grated cheese to the rotis for kids.
INGREDIENTS FOR SPICY RAJMA ROTI RECIPE
Red Kidney Beans soaked - ½ cup
Small onions - ¼ cup
Garlic -
5 cloves
Whole wheat flour - 2 cups
Red chilli powder -1 teaspoon
Garam masala powder - 2 tsps
AAm choor powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Coconut milk powder - 2 tbsps
Salt -to taste
Ghee -to
cook rotis
METHOD
Pressure cook rajma in not more than
two cups with small onions and garlic and salted water until soft. Drain
thoroughly, cool and then mash well. Reserve the drained water..Mix wheat flour, mashed rajma, red
chilli powder, garam masala powder,aam choor powder, coconut milk powder and
salt to taste Add reserved water, if required and knead into soft and pliable
dough.Leave the dough covered with a moist
cloth for fifteen minutes.Divide into equal portions, form them
into ballsRoll out each balls into rotis.Heat a tawa, Put a rolled out roti and cook on one side on medium
heat followed by the other side. Increase heat, apply one teaspoon of ghee to
the first cooked side and cook again pressing it with a ladle..Prepare the remaining rolled out
rotis .Serve hot with raitha, dhal or any other
accompaniments as you like.
