HONEY CHILLI CHOCOLATE IDLI


Chocolate chilli idly prepared with idli batter and honey. Another version of chilli chocolate idly is posted. check the below link


INGREDIENTS

 Idli batter                                           -  500 grams (batter should  not runny or sour)
Unsweetened cocoa powder             - 2 tablespoons
Honey                                                – 6 tablespoons 
Condensed milk or Milk powder       - 2 tablespoons  
Vanilla essence                                  - 1/2 tsp
Butter                                                             - 2 tbsps
Chilli powder                                       - 2  pinches












INGREDIENTS FOR GARNISHING

Melted chocolate                    - 2 tbsps
Powdered sugar                      - 1 tbsp
Chilli flakes                             - 1 tsp









METHOD


 Add water in the idli steamer and allow it to boil.

Take idli batter in a bowl and add all the ingredients  and mix well.

Just grease moulds with little butter before pouring the batter

Pour the prepared batter into the moulds.

Once water is boiling in steamer. Grease the idli moulds with butter and pour batter in the moulds.
Place the batter filled  idli plate inside the steamer.  Let it steam for 10-12 minutes.

(When you insert a tooth pick into the center of the idlis it should come out clean, if it has batter sticking to it then steam for a few more minutes) 

    Switch off the flame; open the steamer  and take the moulds out. 

Sprinkle some water on the cooked honey chilli chocolate idlis and keep for sometime .
 After few minutes remove from the idli moulds and transfer in to a serving bowl.
Garnish it with powdered sugar , melted chocolates and red chilli flakes.

Serve hot.

Yummy sweety spicy Honey chilli chocolate idli is ready to serve.


Serve hot.

NOTE


If you want to prepare sweet version of chocolate idli avoid using chilli powder and prepare idlis adding other ingredients.
