LASOONI KHADI RAVA KHICHDI


   Lasooni Kadhi Khichdi is a perfect and easy meal for breakfast and dinner.. This recipe is simple and  healthy meal which you can prepare in no time  with few ingredients which are easily  available at home. The aroma of garlic  enhances the taste of the khichdi. A perfect breakfast for  garlic lovers. And there is no need of any accompaniments for this khichdi cause the rava is  boiled in khadi base. Enjoy this heavenly and healthy breakfast and enjoy your  day.












     INGREDIENTS
     Curd                                  - 2 cups 
     Gram flour                                   - ¼  cup
     Rava                                 - 1 ½ cups
     Water                                - 2 ½ cups to 3 cups water
     Salt                                                - to taste 
     
      INGREDIENTS FOR SEASONING
    Oil                                                 - 3 tbsps
    Cumin seeds                            - 1/2 tea spoon.
    Mustard seeds                        - 1/2 tea spoon.
    Fenugreek seeds                    - 1/2 tea spoon.
    Asafetida powder                  - ¼ tsp.
    Turmeric powder                  - 1/4 tea spoon.
   Green chilli                             - 4 nos slitted
    Garlic                                      - 3 cloves
   

    INGREDIENTS FOR WET GRINDING
     Grated coconut                - 2 tbsps
     Garlic                                - 5 nos
    Red chillies                   - 3 nos
     Ghee                                 - 1 tsp  
   
     Fry the garlic and red  chillies in a tsp of ghee and grind it with coconut to a smooth paste
      Add curd while grinding.

      METHOD
.
Sieve the flour and add curd, turmeric powder, asafetida powder and salt into it.
Whisk the batter well by adding  2 ½ to 3 cups water into it. The batter to make kadhi is ready.
Heat oil in a pan and add  the cumin seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seed, garlic and green chillies in it . Pour the kadhi batter into  the seasonings and let it boil on a high flame.
Add  ground coconut garlic paste to the above boiling khadi. and allow it to boil.
Now add rava to the boiling khadi and close the pan for 2 to 3 minutes and cook in a medium flame till the rava gets cooked
Once cooked remove from flame and garnish it with fried green chillies and garlic/ lasooni.
Drizzle some melted ghee on khichdi.
Yummy lasooni khadi rava khichdi is ready to serve.
Serve hot. No need of any accompaniments for this yummy khichdi
